Dirthead,Thank you for the question on a dent in your YZ250’s exasuht pipe.There are several ways to remove a dent.The way I like to remove them is also the cheapest way-Do it your self.I drill a small hole in the pipe on the opposite side of the dent the size of a long thin punch or a thin strong rod-1/4inch or smaller in diameter and round off the edge of the tip so it doesn’t have a sharp point that will try to cut through the pipe wall.I than put the pipe on my lap, insert the punch in the hole and start tapping on the punch with a small hammer.You must work from the outside, towards the center of the dent and take your time.Now all you need to do is get the small hole welded up and paint it.There are places you can send the pipe to that will plug the ends and inflate it with a SMALL amount of air pressure, than heat the dent area and let the air push the dent out.Doing it this way is risky-too much pressure or too much heat and you can blow a hole in it.
